Canadian AI for Construction
Three moderated panels, three construction tech startup demos, and a networking reception working through the questions AI is raising in Canadian construction.
The room brings together general contractors, asset owners and infrastructure agencies, construction tech founders, professional regulators, the legal community, and academia.
Panel 1: Workforce Readiness and Capability
AI will reshape who works in construction, what skills get valued, and how people enter the trades. The panel surfaces what readiness looks like across education, training, and labour mobility, and what it takes for the transition to be inclusive.
Panelists include general contractors, construction tech founders, academic engineering programs, and policy and workforce development bodies.
Panel 2: Integration and Implementation
What does AI adoption look like inside the firms actually doing the work? The panel examines how integration differs by organization size, what works between pilot and production scale, and how research relates to current practice.
Panelists include general contractors, engineering firms, enterprise technology leaders, and construction tech founders.
Panel 3: Standards and Governance
The panel works through the legal, professional, and procurement frameworks that AI in regulated construction will need, including defensibility, professional practice guidance, and the standards layer that smaller firms can adopt without re-engineering each project.
Panelists include construction lawyers, procurement and risk advisors, architects representing professional standards, and construction tech founders.
